I've been drawing basically since I could hold a crayon, but only in highschool did I start taking art seriously and trying to improve. I like to work with traditional mediums - graphite pencil, ink, pencil crayon. Occasisonally markers and paint. Charcoal can go straight to hell, it gets in my ears and up my nose and makes a huge mess it is NOT worth it. I have attempted to transistion to digital art several times. And failed. It's great for sketching, but by god I cannot acclimate to it.
The human body, historical fashion, contemporary fashion subcultures and fantasy settings all serve as major sources of inspiration for me. Recently I find I'm also drawing inspiration from gothic horror - in both the literal and thematic/aesthetic sense.
My favourite colours are jewel tones, especially purples, reds and greens; my favourite thing to draw is the human figure - I particularly like hands and teeth. Melting candles and candlelight are a close second. My least favourite thing to draw is spoked wheels. I also like to knit. Maybe I'll post some of those projects as well?
